Carbolite Gero Vacuum Tube Furnace

A vacuum tube furnace for processing or testing of materials at high temperatures.

Instrument Overview:

The instrument is intended to be used for the processing or testing of materials at high temperatures, such as annealing. The material can be tested under vacuum or in an inert gas atmosphere. The heating is controlled through the 3016 programable temperature controller that uses Proportional Integral Derivative algorithms to adjust the heating power and control the temperature within the product.

Applications:

  • For the processing and preparation of solid material samples
  • Under an environment of vacuum or the following gas options
    • Air
    • Nitrogen
    • Argon
    • 95% Nitrogen / 5% Hydrogen
    • 98% Argon / 2% Hydrogen
    • Carbon dioxide
    • Helium

Technical Specification:

  • Work tube is quartz and the dimensions are 55 x 60 x 750 mm
  • Maximum continuous operating temperature: 1100°C
  • Maximum temperature under vacuum (quartz working tube): 1050°C
  • Maximum pressure applied to furnace: 0.5 bar
  • Normal operating pressure should be 0.025 bar
  • Base pressure with vacuum 1×10-9 mbar
  • Maximum heating or cooling rate: 7°C/min
